Description
Toroidal transformers are gaining popularity due to their enhanced magnetic properties and ability to have a smaller profile compared to traditional solenoid core transformers. This makes them ideal for devices that require a lower profile, like rack mounted equipment, while still maintaining the same power capacity.
The toroidal shape of the Powertran 30 + 30 300VA Transformer, also known as a "donut", boasts an advantage due to its symmetrical design. This design minimizes the leakage flux, resulting in less electromagnetic interference (EMI) being emitted to nearby circuits and equipment. In today's world of low power and high frequency electronics, this is an important factor to consider.
Features
- Each toroidal is supplied with 2 x rubber spacing washers, 1 x steel dished washer, 1 x mounting bolt, 1 x nut (except PCB mount versions).
- Lower electrically induced noise demanded by compact equipment.
- High efficiency enabling conservative rating whilst maintaining size advantages.
- The toroidal transformer is accepted as the industry standard, replacing the laminated type as toroidal transformers offer advantages in size, weight, and lower radiated field.
