Description
This versatile Microphone/Line Pre Amplifier is designed to convert either a microphone or line input into a balanced high level signal. The mic input can be connected through a balanced XLR, while the line input can be connected through 2 x RCA sockets or a 3.5mm jack. The output signal, carried through Cat5e cable, can be distributed up to 300m without any interference. For even greater flexibility, the A 4928 line output box (or other Redback UTP compatible product) can be used to provide a balanced high or low level output, as well as an unbalanced Aux output signal to be routed to an amplifier. Power is conveniently provided through the Cat5e cable connection. In addition, a 24V DC switched output with a maximum current draw of 120mA can be activated when the VOX output of the pre-amplifier is in use.
Use with Redback A4432
When paired with A4432, this device allows for overriding the input to a specific zone using a local input source in that zone. This could include a mobile phone for background music or a microphone for speeches at a wedding. The wall plate and box offer connections for a 3 pin XLR microphone, dual RCA line level input, and a 3.5mm line level input for portable devices, providing a versatile range of options for input sources.
